Hands-on experience in biosystems engineering
100% Engagement
Internships, research and a senior design project are just three career preparation experiences you’ll be involved in as a biosystems engineering major at the University of Arizona. You’ll also enjoy personalized career counseling and established industry relationships, all complemented by our 100% Engagement initiative.
- An internship is required with opportunities available in the areas of water resources, renewable energy, controlled environment agriculture, biological systems engineering, biomechanical engineering and more.
- Student-focused research allows you to investigate a specific area of interest within biosystems engineering, such as how to quickly identify pathogens to prevent disease outbreaks or improve irrigation systems while reducing water use.
- A senior design project, which involves spending a year taking your design vision from concept, to reality, to public showcase, to real-world application.
